The Amniotic Fluid Index in Normal Pregnancy Clinical Observation for Postterm Pregnancy

Abstract
Amniotic fluid index(FAFI), the four-quadrant sum of amniotic fluid pockets studied prospectively in 428 normal pregnancies. Until 27 weeks, the AFI increases progressively and after 28 weeks, the AFI declines at a progressively increasing rate.
The
mean of AFI was 13.1 mm in term pregnancies and in postdates pregnancies, AFI were decreased rapidly.
We concluded that ultrasonographic measurement of AFI is relatively accurate in identifying normal amniotic fluid.
